The Scotties outscored the Wolverines 15-5 in the second quarter to
grab control and claim a win in the Neshannock Holiday Tournament.
Garrison Bell registered a game-high 22 points for Union (5-4) and Joey Crivelli chipped in with 18. Bell added nine rebounds and six assists.
Tre’von Charles handed out five assists for the winners to go with his six markers. Devin Wilson snared seven boards while tossing in eight points.
"I think it was our best effort of the year," Scotties coach Mark Stanley said. "We did a nice job defensively. Crivelli has really been shooting the ball well for us. When we're shooting it like that, shoot good, look good.
"Ellwood made a little run in the third and we were able to hold them off."
Anthony Roth recorded 18 points for Ellwood City Lincoln (4-5) and Frederick Roth tossed in 15.
