Neshannock overpowers Wilmington

The Lancers erupted early.

The Lancers tallied 25 first-quarter points and rolled to a verdict over Wilmington in the opener of the Neshannock Holiday Tournament.

Neshannock (7-1) led 25-10 after one quarter and 37-23 at the break.

Ethan Moose and Jason Swope supplied 21 points each to lead Neshannock. Swope pulled down 15 rebounds and Moose added seven boards with three steals. Swope was 6 of 8 from behind the arc.

"Moose and Swope played very well overall," Lancers coach John Corey said. "Jason shot the ball tremendous."

Jake Rylott tossed in 11 tallies for the victors. Frank Fraschetti dished out seven assists.

"It was a total complete game by the guys that were out there," Corey said.

Jimmy Powers, who transferred to Wilmington from Neshannock, led the Greyhounds (4-4) with 19 points. Jacob Harvey was next with 11 and Spencer DeMedal added 10.
