Mohawk girls roll
Mohawk (65) Vs. New Brighton (25)
Feb 04, 2015
The Lady Warriors jumped out to an early lead over visiting Section 1-AA opponent New Brighton and never looked back.

Mohawk (9-2, 15-4) led 37-17 after the first half and then held New Brighton to eight second-half points.

Aliya Gage had 16 points and six rebounds and Samantha Carr scored 13.

The Lady Warriors now shift their focus to Shenango for a 7:30 p.m. meeting tomorrow. Shenango was the last section team to defeat Mohawk in mid-January.

“Since we lost to Shenango, our goal is to not lose again the rest of the way,” Mohawk coach Mike O’Lare said. “We’re one step away from that goal, so we’ll be ready to play Thursday night.”
