Shenango drops sixth straight

Riverside’s Mason Marion poured in a game-high 28 points in a Section 2-AA win over Shenango.

The loss is the sixth straight for the Wildcats (0-2, 1-9).

“We just need to try to keep plugging away,” Shenango coach Bob McQuiston said. “The guys are playing hard; we just have to continue to keep coming to practice and working hard.”

Shenango scored 23 points in the first quarter, but managed just 33 the rest of the way.

Brett Chieze paced the Wildcats with 14 points and Jeff Williams chipped in with 13.

Zac Rorick contributed 18 markers for the Panthers (1-2, 5-5).
