Jan 06, 2015
A slow second-half start doomed the host Lady Scots in their Section 1-A meeting with Sewickley Academy.
The Lady Panthers (1-2, 6-4) jumped out to a 10-point lead heading into the half and doubled their advantage with an 18-8 third-quarter performance.
“They came out and had a good second half,” Union coach Larry Ondako said. “We just played a very poor game, probably our worst of the year. We didn’t do much right, but they played a solid game.”
Maddy Casale led Sewickley Academy with 17 points.
Skylar Thompson paced Union (0-5, 1-10) with 14 points.
