Dec 17, 2014
The Greyhounds couldn’t overcome a slow start in their nonsection game against the visiting Golden Eagles.
Kennedy Catholic (3-1) opened the game on an 18-5 run and never let up, heading into the break with a 38-18 advantage.
Marc Peoples was the only Wilmington (1-2) player to hit double-digit points, scoring 12 points off of five field goals. Peoples also added eight rebounds, while Spencer DeMedal totaled seven points and five blocks and Travis Brumbaugh posted five points and four blocks.
“I thought our team battled,” Wilmington coach Mike Jeckavitch said. “They’re extremely long and athletic. My guys didn’t back down. They showed the toughness that I expected them to show.”
