Bad decisions and forced shots put the Greyhounds in a big hole in their District 10, Region 2-AA loss to Greenville.
Wilmington (0-1, 4-8) trailed 24-8 at halftime.
“We just didn’t get the opportunities,” ’Hounds coach Will Harris said of the first two quarters. “We just didn’t really follow the game plan.”
Wilmington woke up in the second half, outscoring its opponent 33-23.
Jake DeMedal had 20 points for the ’Hounds and Anthony Derrick added eight.
Greenville is 1-0 in the region and 7-6 overall.
