Blackhawk took command in the third quarter to pull away for a Section 2-AAA win over Ellwood City Lincoln.
The Cougars stretched a 34-24 halftime buffer to 55-33 after three periods.
“They came out in the third quarter and just did what Blackhawk does. They attacked us and the next thing we knew it was a 20-point game,” Wolverines coach Jason Bumblis said. “We don’t have the firepower to erase a 20-point deficit.”
Ryan Horgan and Richard McKinney netted 11 points each for Ellwood City (1-3, 3-8).
Tyler Damazo notched a game-best 18 markers for the Cougars (4-0, 7-2).
