Foul shots were the Lady Scots’ downfall in a Section 1-A loss to Western Beaver.
Union (0-1, 0-8) missed 9 of 21 from the charity stripe.
“We had a lot of opportunities in the fourth quarter tonight and we struggled,” Lady Scots coach Brian Fadden said. “It just seemed like there was a lid on the hoop in the second half.”
Savannah Partridge tallied a game-high 25 points for Union, followed by Taryn Wright with 12.
“We showed a lot of improvement tonight,” Fadden said. “The stuff we’ve been doing in practice is starting to carry over in games.”
Western Beaver improves to 1-1 in section play and 1-6 overall.
