The Lady 'Canes struggled in the fourth quarter in dropping a 58-47 non-section home matchup to the Lady Rams.

South Side Beaver (7-6) trailed 37-36 at the end of the third quarter. But The Lady Rams outscored New Castle (5-9) 22-10 in the final frame to seal the win.

The Lady 'Canes lost the lead for good with 6:20 to play.

"We're hurting and we're down right now," said first-year New Castle coach Kara Joseph. "We got a little bit winded going to the fourth quarter and we were getting beat to the hoop. It's all things we can work on."

Tanai Brothers and Kayla Harvey posted 14 points each for the Lady 'Canes. Lindsay Frabotta and Mariah Shepherd contributed eight tallies apiece.

Harvey pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds for the hosts, while Frabotta added 10 rebounds and five assists.

Jess Barber led all scorers with 15 points for South Side Beaver.
