Neshannock girls cruise past Wilmington

The Lady Lancers built a 20-7 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 62-34 nonsection home win over the Lady Greyhounds.
Neshannock (12-2) pushed the buffer to 34-9 at the half.
"We took a big lead early on," Lady Lancers coach Luann Grybowski said. "In the third quarter, we backed off a bit defensively. I had different kids in, trying to get some varsity time.
"Overall, it's a good game at this point after the first half (of section play). With our JVs missing a lot of games, we got some of them some substantial time."
Carmie Matarazzo recorded a game-high 14 points with nine rebounds, four steals and three assists for the Lady Lancers. Caitlyn Benson tossed in 10 points for the winners
Aidan Noga notched nine points with five steals for Neshannock, while Ally Zarilla and Brie Dean delivered eight points apiece. Zarilla pulled down seven rebounds and Dean added six.
Regan Moorhouse contributed four points, three steals and three assists for the victors, while Stephanie Paras provided seven tallies and three assists.
Lexi Brumbaugh and Lauren Frederick notched 10 points apiece for the Lady Greyhounds (4-11).
