The Lady 'Canes will head to the holiday break satisfied after a 56-37 Section 2-AAA victory over visiting Hopewell.

New Castle (2-2, 2-5) featured four players break the double-digit point barrier, led by Kayla Harvey's 21-point, 11-rebound performance.

"She played very well, she was rebounding well and got a lot of easy putbacks," New Castle coach Maria Joseph said.

Jaidyn Eggleston followed with 13 points, while Lindsay Frabotta and Tanai Brothers added 10 points each.

"It was definitely a team effort tonight, a good way to go into the holiday week," Joseph said. "We have our holiday tournament next week, we'll have a couple days off but when we get back in the gym, we're going to work hard and keep doing what we've been doing."
