Defense carries Ellwood to fourth victory

The defense stepped up and Anthony Roth shined in Ellwood City's 64-55 Section 2-AAA win over visiting Central Valley.

Roth, who scored a game-high 28 points, went toe-to-toe and topped Central Valley’s Parker Hudson, 23 points, in a scoring frenzy.

The Wolverines’ (1-0, 4-1) defense carried them to their third-straight win, holding the Warriors to just five fourth-quarter points in a game that was tied at 50 apiece at the end of the third quarter.
