The Greyhounds got balanced scoring in an easy District 10, Region 2-AA home win over the Blue Devils.
Five players hit double figures for Wilmington (2-4, 4-11) in the victory.
“If we can get that production every night, we could be a team to be reckoned with,” Greyhounds coach Mike Jeckavitch said. “We are looking to get any kind of win. We’ve been struggling a little bit.
“We saw some glimpses of good basketball against Neshannock and we wanted to see it carry over to tonight and it did.”
Former Neshannock coach Jim Smiley serves as the Sharpsville coach.
Reese Bender netted a team-high and career-high 20 points for Wilmington and Matt Zimmer was next with 16. Travis Brumbaugh followed with 13 markers, 11 assists and seven rebounds, while Spencer DeMedal delivered 11 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.
Jacob Harvey followed with 10 points and five assists.
Max Frazier notched a team-high 16 points for the Blue Devils (0-6, 1-13).
