Union girls still winless
Aliquippa (54) Vs. Union (28)
Dec 23, 2014
The Lady Scots struggled in the second quarter and dropped a Section 1-A road game on the Lady Quips’ home floor.

Aliquippa (2-0, 5-3) outscored Union (0-4, 0-7) 12-0 in the second stanza to claim a 25-12 halftime advantage.

“We missed shots,” said second-year Lady Scots coach Larry Ondako. “Jenna Grzesiuk got in foul trouble and she sat the last 6 1/2 of the second quarter.

“Even though she wasn’t scoring, that really hurt us size-wise out there. We couldn’t do anything with (Aliquippa’s) Ciara Clark. The second quarter was just a bad quarter for us. We just wore down.”

Sarah Seamans supplied a team-high 15 points for Union and Skylar Thompson tallied seven.

Clark collected a game-best 32 markers for Aliquippa.
