Scotties stop Saegertown
Union (73) Vs. Saegertown (55)
Dec 19, 2012
Offensive balance is becoming a trend for Union. Four Scotties scored in double digits in a nonsection home victory against Saegertown.

“Once again, we were very balanced,” Union coach Dave Smialowski said. “We played some unselfish ball. It was a nice win for us.”

The Scotties leading scorer, Markel Peace, tallied 17 points. Tre Major and Benjamin Young netted 16 each and Joe Salmen was next with 10.

Union (5-1) outscored the Panthers 43-32 in the second half.

“I think we might have wore them down a little bit,” Smialowski said. “The way we pressure the ball and the way we like to play with our transition game can really wear teams down.”
