Hopewell took command in the second quarter in a Section 2-AAA road win over Ellwood City Lincoln.
“We had a hard time securing stops in the second quarter,” first-year Wolverines coach Anthony Ovial said. “They were getting offensive rebounds and we had a hard time defensively.
“We played with more urgency defensively in the second half, though.”
Nick Aloi tossed in a game-high 22 points for the Wolverines (0-2, 2-4).
Ryan Cox paced the Vikings (1-1, 2-3) with 18 markers.
