Shenango was sharp in the second half in a nonsection road win over South Side Beaver.

The Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Rams 32-21 in the second half.

“I thought we came out a little slow,” Shenango coach Brian Turk said. “The first two periods wasn’t very high scoring by either team. We said we had to get it done in the second half and we did.”

Shenango, coming off a 1-22 campaign, improved to 3-0 for the first time since the 2009-2010 season.

“It was a great start for these girls, especially the seniors,” Turk said.

Jenna Petrucci posted 14 points and three steals to lead the Lady Wildcats. Amanda Herb followed with 12 markers and eight rebounds, while Angelina Sibeto added 10 tallies, six rebounds and three steals. Sarah Herb snared six boards as well.

Samantha Gibson registered 17 points for South Side Beaver (1-2).
