The Lady Spartans used a 33-20 halftime advantage toward earning a victory in nonsection action.

“I was pleased with the balanced scoring we had,” Laurel coach Jennifer McGarrah said. “It seemed like it was a team effort tonight.”

Lindsey Sauers had a team-high 17 points and added five steals. Lacee Cutchall followed with 11 markers and Rachel Kwiatkowski added 10 points for the Lady Spartans (1-3, 4-4).

Caroline King led all scorers with 25 points for the Lady Panthers (1-3, 2-6).
