New Brighton dominated the second half against Mohawk and cruised to a Section 2-AA victory.
Four players scored in double figures for the Lady Lions, who increased their six-point halftime lead to 15 by the start of the fourth quarter. Kaitlyn Hopkins paced New Brighton with 18 points. The Lady Lions (6-5, 7-11) are just a half-game behind Neshannock for third place in the section.
Taylor Yarletts scored a team-high 11 for the Lady Warriors (2-7, 6-13). Mohawk was outscored, 33-14, in the final two quarters.
