Ellwood City Lincoln struggled from the field and Riverside capitalized for a Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout victory at Geneva College.

The Lady Panthers (9-2) are ranked No. 2 in the WPIAL in Class AA by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The Lady Wolverines (6-6) were just 11 of 48 from the field.

“We just had a very cold shooting night,” Ellwood City coach Bill Gottuso said. “Riverside guarded us pretty tight defensively and they did it very well the whole game.

“We did everything wrong and they just outplayed us.”

Angela McCowin and Asia Borders recorded six points each to lead the Lady Wolverines. McCowin snared eight rebounds and Nicole Nocera posted four steals.

Sam Weir tossed in a game-high 17 points for Riverside.
