A strong third quarter push lifted the Lady Wildcats over Monaca in nonsection play.
Shenango (7-3) used pressure defense and caused multiple turnovers in outscoring Monaca 22-6.
Monaca (1-8) had trouble stopping Shenango guard Angelene Rapone, who drained a game-high 17 points. Rapone now has seven double-digit performances this season.
“She finished pretty well in transition,” Lady Wildcats coach Chris Vecenie said. “She knocked down a couple outside shots.”
