The Lady Wolverines used their height to defeat Shenango in the Riverside LGKG Tournament.
Michelle Nocera notched 15 points and 15 rebounds on her way to all-tournament team honors for Ellwood City (5-1). Asia Borders netted eight markers for the Lady Wolverines.
“The inside game was working for us a little better tonight,” Lady Wolverines coach Bill Gottuso said. “We had a couple inches on them.”
Ellwood City, which connected on 15 of 36 foul shots Monday, knocked down 8 of 9 from the charity stripe last night.
Carly Senko also earned a spot on the all-tournament team. Senko tallied 14 points for Shenango (6-2) in the losing effort.
