The Laurel High boys basketball team showed a balanced scoring attack in an 89-69 WPIAL 1-AA victory at Shenango on Friday night.

Teammate Scott Siddall led all scorers with 22 points and Jordan Dantico also finished with 18. Jacob Wilson added 15.
Ryan Conner paced Shenango (2-7 section, 3-15 overall) with a career-high 20 points, while Brandon Bennett added 18, Maxwell Reamer 15 and Matt McMillen 10.
Laurel is now 6-2, 14-3, in third place behind Lincoln Park (9-0) and Neshannock (7-2) in the section.
The Wildcats stayed within striking distance throughout, trailing just 44-38 at the half. It wasn't until the fourth quarter that Laurel put it out reach.
"They were in the game," Laurel coach Ken Locke said. "We were finally able to open it up in the second half, but to their credit they didn't go away.
"Our kids were very unselfish," he added. "They shot the ball well and shared it and that showed in the balanced scoring."
