The Lady ’Canes started off slow and never recovered against Section 2-AAA foe Blackhawk.
Blackhawk (11-0, 17-3) jumped out to a 23-4 first quarter lead and expanded on that to take a 46-12 advantage at halftime.
Chassidy Omogrosso paced the host Lady Cougars with 22 points. Bridgette Shaffer followed with 13 pints and Brianna Hoover tallied 10.
Tanai Brothers led New Castle (1-10, 3-17) with 10 points.
