Wilmington rolls to win
Wilmington (83) Vs. Jamestown (36)
Jan 12, 2015
The Greyhounds had no trouble dismantling host Jamestown in District 10, Region 2-AA action.

Wilmington (1-2, 3-8) pounced on the Muskies for a 53-22 advantage heading into halftime.

Spencer DeMedal led all scorers with 30 points and added seven rebounds, six assists and six steals in less than three quarters of action.

“He played two and a half quarters,” Wilmington coach Mike Jeckavitch said. “He took over a game he was expected to take over.”

Jacob Harvey totaled 12 points and Reese Bender followed with 10 points and four assists.

The victory was sweet for Jeckavitch and his squad, but it does little in getting them ready for tomorrow’s matchup against West Middlesex, which sits atop the Region 2-AA standings with a 3-0 region record.

“You’ll do anything to take the win but it didn’t really prepare us for West Middlesex,” Jeckavitch said.
