The Wilmington Lady Greyhounds rallied for the 35-33 nonregion homecourt win over Reynolds.

Wilmington trailed 10-6 at the end of the first quarter and 16-14 at the half before going up by five points in the second half.

The Lady Greyhounds gave up a late layup to allow Reynolds to pull within a bucket, but ran out the clock in the final seconds.

“We had to struggle to get the win, but it’s nice to come from behind and get it,” Wilmington coach Brandy Sanford said. “We could have played better, but we’ll take it.”

Sarah Slonaker led the winners with 10 points and Cassidy Marett added eight. Tessa Sikora chipped in with 11 rebounds.
