New Brighton topples Mohawk
Mohawk (32) Vs. New Brighton (54)
Dec 15, 2012
The New Brighton Lions outscored the Mohawk Warriors 36-14 in the second half to claim the 54-42 Section 2-AA home win.

“We didn’t do anything as far as rebounding in the second half,” Mohawk coach Rob Fadden said. “They were constantly getting second, third and fourth opportunities and that’s what did us in.

“We weren’t getting bodies on people.”

Ryan Sager supplied a team-high 11 points for the Warriors (0-1, 1-3).

“It doesn’t get any easier next week for us,” Fadden said. “We have (section rivals) Riverside and Neshannock, so hopefully we can find a way to bounce back.”

TaShaun Goode notched 15 markers for New Brighton (1-0, 4-1).
